We haven't had a sub-department for a long time, until today! Today marks the return of the sub-department which is called the Campaigns Team.
What do they actually do? The Campaigns Team will do exactly what it says on the tin, they'll bring campaigns to you monthly that we've been misisng out on so dearly. A lot of you said that you've been missing the campaigns and that you want to bring them back so that's exactly what we're doing! Through this system we should bring back campaigns monthly (apart from the major holidays) and start to gain more of a following back through them! We do listen, we promise!
This is only a sub-department which means that it's still under the events team and the two events managers (Meg and Jake). However, events hosts cannot see the campaigns forum and are left to solely focus on hosting events. The Campaigns Team will be required to plan one campaign a month (individually) to make sure that we get the best out of the team! Seniors will cover both sides of the department, giving them more responsibility.

Time to pair up because we're getting all loved up (again) for the Valentines ball.. after valentines? To mark the end of Valentines events we're hosting a ball to celebrate and we hope that you'll turn up!
We hope you've got that secret pixel lover out there because you'll need to dress up & pair up for this ball. We're expecting you to go in couples and dress up in your best matching outfit that you've got. Turning up on the night like this will result in you maybe winning a competition! The best dressed couple of the night will receive a prize from our Events Manager Meg; now you have to turn up! Not enough to keep you entertained? Keep reading...At this ball we'll also be presenting the winner of the Valentines Points Competition with their prize! All you need to do to get to this ball is search 'owner:Megster' or click here to get to it! It's that simple and unlocks a night of fun. Please bare in mind that you don't need a partner to enter but it most certainly helps the love flow! This ball will be hosted on Wednesday 15th February at 11PM GMT/6PM EST. Love is most certainly in the air and HabbCrazy is getting all loved up! We're hosting a few events and competitions to hopefully keep you interested and away from your better half this Valentines.. that's the thing to do, right?
Cupid is hitting HabbCrazy right through the heart and we've brought a scoring system into Valentines to find out who is the most love-drunk! We'll be using the scoreboard on the site (found here) to record all cupid points handed out in order to find the winner. The winner of the entire Valentines period will receive coins, donators, bth points, the lot! We're throwing it all at you if you win, as well as our love! You can win these points through any competitions and events that are going to be hosted over this Valentines period. This counts from tomorrow (11/02/12) to just after Valentines (15/02/12) so you have a long time to get your points and win! How can you win them? Find out here!
Forum competitions are going to be posted over this period where you can win points! First, second and third points will all be awarded and we may even throw in some bonus points just for taking part! These will all be loved themed (obviously) so make sure you have your thinking cap on. Hammy will be holding most of these so any questions should go directly to him!
Another big thing going on will be a couple of Behind the Habbo events hosted by myself or one of the moderators. This will involve questions being asked on the shoutbox and points being awarded accordingly (maybe even some BTH points too). This will give you the opportunity to meet other people from the community, have fun and win yourself some goodies!
Habbo events are going to be a main part of getting you some points too! We have a jam packed schedule of events going on, on Sunday and Monday night. We're getting our timetable fully booked on Sunday from 1PM to around 3AM GMT to make sure that you get the opportunity to bag yourself some mid-week points. The same will be done on Monday. Please note that you'll only receive points at events if the host has told you and it says so on the events timetable. You can tell because it'll have the prefix '[VDAY]' infront of it! What do points make? PRIZES!
Do you ever receive love letters on Valentines? Well now you do! Starting tomorrow there will be a love letter system on Behind the Habbo where you can send the people you desire love letters, anonymously of course. This is just a feature, but, Chaz might even set up a competition involving this! You can send, receive and create your own love letters through this system which should be fully coded by Ricky tomorrow. If it isn't, just bare with him!
Valentine’s Day is full of mystery. Who’s the secret admirer of your unsigned cards? Who sent the chocolates on your doorstep? Valentine ’s Day is often about love with a secret, so why should the Media Department be any different! We’re bringing the mystery back, and some points of course. Cupid’s Secret Admirers is a competition of sourcing and solving from the clues you will be given. Several staff members will be asked the same question and will give their answers. These answers will each contain clues to which person it is. But wait? It would appear that the editors at HabbCrazy have gotten in a muddle and messed up the Habbo’s with the correct answers. It’s your job to work out which answer goes to which Habbo. Easy, right? If you think so, keep your eyes open on the forums for the competition and instructions to bag you some great prizes!
“I’m in the mood for dancing, romancing!”, as the Valentine’s celebrations draw to a close it’s time to get your tap shoes on because we’re going all out at the HabbCrazy ball. Hosted by our very own, Moh, we’ll be dancing the night away in true HabbCrazy style whether you’re rocking it out solo or with the one you love. If you’re ready to doll-up and get ready for the best party of the year so far, keep checking the forums for more information. At this ball, you’re bound to fall in love with HabbCrazy all over again.

Behind The Habbo is an exclusive social user system designed for the main site (www.HabbCrazy.net). People mostly use it to upload photos (get a sneak peak of your best friend, behind the computer screen), comment on each others profiles and interact with other members of the community in the shoutbox. It's similar to MySpace but much better, I mean who uses MySpace still? The Behind The Habbo team is introducing an exclusive event titled Media Maniacs hosted by MOD-Tom (Hey that's me!).
Media Maniacs is a quiz where you can win a tonne of prizes (points, exclusive forum colours, badges, the list goes on) designed for the BTH system, these prizes can vary depending on how many people participate in the quiz. So make sure you get down to the shoutbox and get involved, click here to go straight to the shoutbox! The Media Maniacs quiz is a trivia quiz based around the media content published by the professional news reporters of HabbCrazy. The quiz will take place on Saturdays 10pm GMT // 5pm EST every week. Media Department
So what's happening in the Media Department? Dishy Entertainment, gritty Real Life, and saucy Habbo news? Over the course of January, the Media staff here at HabbCrazy have been working hard to keep you guys informed with all the latest!
The mega gasp of this month? The resignation of Media Manager Eddie! After nearly 3 years here at HabbCrazy Eddie hung up his Media coat and passed on the role to newly appointed Media Manager, Gingey! With regard to staff, we've had a clear out to make room for some new, fresh and exciting reporters. Think you can fill those gaps? Not only that, but, Tom was promoted to the role of Senior Reporter due to his amazing work within the department and his passion for writing! If you see him, be sure to say will done!
This month (like any other), our editors have been beady-eyed to make ensure that all the articles you read meet perfection! But what use are editors without reporters? The Media reporters in the department have been quick on their feet to bring you all the latest news and gossip for you to chat about. Hold it, that’s not all! January has brought a brand new column to the stage and also, more competitions including the Weekly Download Competition where you can get your hands on some Habbo goodies! Behind the Habbo Department
Applications for a management position within the BTH department have been posted since mid-January, and now, after a lot of thought a new manager has been selected! MattyD has now filled the management boots and taken the reins to lead the department to success. A big good luck to him!
Over the span of February, BTH hopes to implement some great new features to make your experience, even better! But, no plans are final without the feedback from you. The Behind the Habbo Department want to hear your ideas before it’s too late so if you have something you want to say, be sure to Private Message MOD-Lauren or MattyD with your feedback. Over the course of February BTH has remained as lively as ever hosting some sneaky competitions and rather bizarre chats on the shoutbox! If you haven’t been down there yet, you’re missing out!
Forum Department
Over the course of January the Forum Department here at HabbCrazy has brought you some rather sassy competitions and it doesn’t stop there. Even with a bit of a domain mishap, we powered through to see a booming posting competition bringing the forum back to its lively self, did you get involved? We’ve seen spamming, rants, random topics and so much more that sometimes, there is simply too much to talk about! If you haven’t signed up to the forum yet, you best get down there, and fast!
Events Department
Well haven't the Events Department had a roller coaster of a time? With Megster back as Manager, we now have the sexiest department at HabbCrazy! Or not as the case may be… Not an awful lot has been happening within the Events Department recently. We have been planning some extra special things, for the next upcoming month. So keep your eyes open, you may just receive a love letter from the one you love! Just maybe. Also, Epic-Fail (Oscar) recently got promoted to Events Advisor, well done in your new role, the whole of HabbCrazy wish you good luck!
Radio Department
Well well, haven’t the Radio Department been busy? Over the course of January the department has strived to bring you all the latest music, competition and hot parties. Though the timetable may not have always been “booming” we’ve certainly seen a change in the tables as more and more DJs role into HabbCrazy, booking more slots to bring you all the greatest hits. The department have also seen some rather large changes this month staff wise with two newly appointed US and AU Radio Managers, Smoshi and Botdf! The whole of HabbCrazy wish you the best of luck in your new roles, break a leg! News on the Radio anyone? February hopes to see the arrival of a brand new Radio feature when we give you all the latest celeb gossip, hot topics and more. Keep your eyes peeled!
The Radio Department are always on the look out for new DJs from all over the world, just check out the applications and see if you fit the bill. Whether you've been left behind in old-school music, or in with the new! There is a place for everyone!
Graphics Department
January and the year of 2012 have kick-started with a brand new department manager! With Boggart stepping down to Head Graphics, Hammy has taken the lead in overlooking the department.
The Graphics department has seen a lot of work towards the middle and end of the month, such as exclusive requests being poured in from all the staff departments. We’ve had avatars, rotating banners, column banners, ALTs and even a mind-boggling new site banner which we know you’re all dying to see! No fear, all will be revealed as we progress into the February month. Not too many hiring’s or firings, the graphics department remains as trust-worthy, cosy and dedicated as ever. We look forward to see what this freezing February may bring.
That’s the departments out of the way, phew!
As for the latest news, it's been a slow month here at HabbCrazy. We've been recovering after a great new years and are now ready to get out there and get down to work. However, here are some updates of what really happened in site news this month.
We opened BTH management applications for the first time and were very suprised with the quality of them. We received around 40 applications and the majority to were a very high standard which made it incredibly hard to pick the best. We tried to make the decision as quickly as possible and eventually decided that MattyD was the best person for the job! He will continue his trial for Behind the Habbo manager and hopefully advance further on that.
Jack has now also added a lottery to BTH to make getting points easier! You can now purchase tickets by going into 'My Account' and then clicking on 'Lottery'. In its first week, Kerp was the winner of the jackpot with the maximum of 2,160 points! After this, our moderator Mint5Mint5 won a handsome amount of 1,250 points. You can enter by clicking here and it only costs you ten points! It's a great way to earn some so why not?
Our forum also suffered some down-time earlier this month when our domain expired and we could not get it back. This required Jack to set up a temporary forum so that we could still entertain ourselves and Hammy could keep his life on track! We tried to get the best out of a bad situation and tried our hardest to get it back online as soon as possible. We thank you all for your co-operation during this time and promise it won't happen again! (or at least until it expires again...)
So, what’s coming up at HabbCrazy? What delights have we to look forward to?
It’s time to get lovey dovey here at HabbCrazy! With Valentine ’s Day just around the corner, planning is in full swing to make sure that you have a rocking day whether you’re alone or with that perfect partner, be sure to watch out for any “interesting” changes that just might send your heart jumping into your throat. You’re about to fall in love with HabbCrazy all over again, I’m sure of it!
What do you want to see in the next monthly update? More juicy gossip? More department news? Whatever it is, we want to know. Also, be sure to submit your questions for a 'Q&A' session with the staff where you can ask management and administration question and get them answered in the next edition. As you may have noticed, our forum domain has expired (don't worry, nobody can steal the domain, we're just waiting for our retired owner Ryan/Mazalta to transfer the domain so that we can reactivate it).
But, why should you be forumless because of our mistake? We have temporarily setup a link on the main HabbCrazy website which allows you to visit the forum. All your posts are still intact and all your posts will be automatically be transfered to the forum once it's restored.

We have now added a lottery to the Behind the Habbo. Each week there are 216 available tickets which you can purchase for 10 points each*. If all the tickets are sold, that means there will be a jackpot of 2,160 points which you can spend in the Behind the Habbo store (more features coming).
If all 216 tickets are not sold and the winning ticket has not been sold, then the jackput will be rolled over to the next week meaning an even bigger jackpot!

We're looking for someone to manage our unique user system which has been without a manager for quite a while. We felt that we need someone who can convert the user system back to it's former glory. This job will invole managing the moderators that we currently have on the system and controlling what goes on. You need to make sure that not only is BTH a great place to be but keep working on improving activity and come up with new ways to do so. Do you feel like you can do the job?
Behind the Habbo has not had a manager for quite some time with our owner Damien covering the work. Recently, we've been thinking that we need someone to improve BTH's activity and community so that everyone is always talking about it, rather than it being a side system. This means that the user who eventually gets the job will be responsible of the moderators, events and the overall well-being of it. This means that you'll be in charge of badges, usergroups and more! You don't need to have any tech experience however it's always a bonus if you do so make sure that you include that in your application.
Anyone can apply for this position and you do not have to be a moderator currently to. Obviously, moderators are still welcome to apply but we'll be looking at all applications fairly and reading every one that we receive. You need to answer all questions below to your best ability and make sure that you have done your best as we don't hire managers for the sake of it, we hire them when we need them. If we do not feel that any application is up to standard then we will not hire at this time, it's that simple. Try not to rush your application and make it the best you can! Just think, you could be a manager of the most advance user system on any habbo fansite.
